Garden and grounds.

The garden and grounds are pressed by the same elements as the house itself: salt, summer heat, the bura wind and the occasional frost. Into those conditions stone comes as the natural answer: paths, platforms, benches and planting kerbs intravertine, granite and local limestones that ask for no upkeep, only an annual walk-round.

We make paths in sawn or split formats, with different joint patterns, from strict orthogonal grids to irregular opus incertum compositions that suit Mediterranean gardens. Platforms beside pools and terraces we resolve in larger formats with minimal joints, for ease of upkeep and water run-off.

Benches, plinths for planters, planting kerbs and entrance portals for pedestrian approaches are made in the same stone as the path or in a contrasting tone, as preferred. We set every element on a prepared, reinforced base with drainage, which prevents standing water and movement over the years.
