About the family
Marble is a metamorphic rock formed from limestone under heat and pressure. Traditionally the most prized stone in masonry. Michelangelo's David is in Bianco Carrara, and Brač marble stands in Diocletian's Palace. Our catalogue holds the classic Italian and Croatian marbles alongside a range of decorative variants.
Marbles are softer than granite and easier to cut. They are ideal forfireplaces, bathrooms, wall cladding and indoor staircases. They are more sensitive to acids (lemon, wine, juices), so for kitchen worktops we more often recommend granite. High-traffic floors also call for a careful choice.
If you are hesitating between two or three variants, come to the showroom. Comparing samples under natural light always shows what a photograph cannot.
