Pool stone.
Kerbs, treads and pool cladding in limestone: a material that stays comfortable underfoot through the summer.
A pool edge has to bring together three properties: slip resistance, low water absorption and a comfortable temperature under bare feet. Most often we uselimestone, bush-hammered or bush-hammered and brushed. In summer heat it stays markedly cooler than dark stone.
We make complete pool surrounds: edge copings with a drip groove, overflow channels, treads on entry steps. We tailor every cut and fall to the individual pool, to the specification of the maker of the liner or panel system.
The finishes are always functional: a bush-hammered or bush-hammered and brushed face for the edges people stand on, a polished face for vertical cladding paired with a water feature. The cutting → polishing → fitting chain is matched to the windows in which the pool can be drained and dried out for mechanical fixing.
