About the family
Granite is an igneous rock of volcanic origin. Slow crystallisation underground gives it a coarse-grained, distinctively mottled structure: from pale pinks to wholly black tones (Nero Assoluto). A hardness of 6–7 on the Mohs scale means an all but indestructible stone.
Ideal for kitchen worktops, high-traffic paving, facades and outdoor staircases. Low water absorption (under one per cent) makes it resistant to frost and weathering, which in the Dalmatian climate is decisive. Most of our gravestones are made in granite too. By the same logic, longevity is earned through the material.
Our catalogue holds Brazilian, Indian, South African and European granites. The differences in colour and pattern between variants are easiest to see in the showroom. We invite you to come.
